About the event
A "Women's Work" group is an educational circle, for women only (18 years of age and up), facilitated by a life coach, where the women participating listen to one hour of educational material (Women's Work) on topics like mother/daughter relationships, mirroring, money management, self-care (many topics included here), the art of journaling, time management, the art of conversation, sacred space, and much more.
The second hour is "connection", sharing your story, how the topic relates to your life, and what you learned. You can share or pass. Many times when first doing this kind of work it is more comfortable to come and learn and not share. As the container is created (over this year) and the circle is formed, TRUST develops lending itself to sharing more openly giving each woman a chance to practice using her voice and being witnessed and heard. As one woman is speaking her truth others in the circle get to practice being a witness and learn the skill of active listening, not thinking of what she wants to say but really tuning in, slowing down, and listening to the woman speaking and hearing her story and her truth thus honoring her.
Confidentiality is strictly followed by all women participating, what is shared in the circle stays in the circle
These kinds of safe educational women's groups are much needed in our fast-paced world. It gives the participants a structured time to focus on themselves. We, as women, need spaces where we can learn, nurture ourselves and each other, and where we have time to practice how to communicate our thoughts and feelings about our lives, without judgment.
When women gather in a circle, powerful shifts may happen. We are creating our future selves now.
