About the event
Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (or TRE®) is a simple yet innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma. TRE safely activates a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system. When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance.
This introductory TRE® workshop is for those that have not yet learned to access their body's natural stress releasing mechanism & use the exercises to initiate the process.
I will guide you through a series of 7 simple exercises that help to initiate the tremor response and then guide you through the process that allows your body to release tension naturally. As you learn to honor your body's innate ability to release stress and tension, you will have the ability to use this as a tool to manage stress for a lifetime!
Investment of $50
Space is limited to 10 participants
For the workshop:
*Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing and please bring a yoga mat and water bottle.
TRE® is a safe and effective stress release technique for most people. The TRE process should not be used as a substitute for trauma recovery procedures of a medical or psychological nature. Individuals who have physical or psychological/psychiatric conditions that require strict regulation, individuals with fragile psychological defenses, a complex history of trauma or restricting physical or medical limitations MUST consult their medical practitioner prior to performing these exercises. In addition, while there is no research evidence yet to suggest either safety or risk of deliberately invoking neurogenic tremors during pregnancy, the global TRE policy is that we are unable to recommend women perform TRE while they are pregnant. As medical guidelines recommend pregnant women continue whatever exercise they have been doing prior to becoming pregnant learning TRE before pregnancy is recommended should you wish to continue it during pregnancy.
